01 What is metal coating / powder coating?
Coating applies a finishing layer over a metal surface. Colour, texture and suitability for use depend on the coating selected and preparation. Finishes available at SACAL require confirmation.
02 What is anodising?
Anodising is an electrochemical surface treatment, primarily associated with aluminium. The process creates a controlled oxide layer on the metal surface, integrated into the base material, which offers protection and can receive colouring.
03 What is the difference between coating and anodising?
Coating adds a layer onto the metal surface. Anodising modifies the aluminium surface itself, forming an oxide layer that becomes part of the material. Both processes offer protection but with different characteristics and results.
04 What types of parts can be treated?
